Status

They are endangered in Somalia and Uganda and are thought to be vulnerable in Chad and Kenya. Their overall range in Tanzania continues to contract but they are still widespread and well represented in national parks and reserves. Not endangered. In Namibia, kudu meat is a local delicacy in used in biltong, which is dried, spiced and salted meat. Moreover, the awe-inspiring antlers of the male are a natural attraction to trophy hunters.
